June was a seller’s month. As buyers battled it out in bids over a tight supply of homes, last month’s sellers enjoyed one of the fastest sales pace and price growth, which pushed the median home price to an all-time high.
HousingWire reports that the median existing-home sales price rose to $236,000, trampling the previous peak of $230,400 in July 2006. This makes June 2015 the 40th straight month of year-over-year price gains.
The median price of single-family homes for sale was $237,700 in June, while the median existing condo price was $226,000.
