In honor of National Women in Construction Week, the Nevada State Contractors Board is holding its third annual Hammers & Hope event that highlights construction industry career opportunities for women, KOLO 8 News reports. The event on Thursday, March 7, in Reno, Nev., will focus on providing information for high school students who may be considering future career paths and for women curious about construction jobs, providing attendees with an understanding of how to start a career in construction and the varied job options available within the industry.
Along with the panel discussion, there will also be time to meet with representatives from various organizations for mentorship and job opportunities.
