April numbers showed that buying conditions are ripe, but aspiring homeowners still face many roadblocks, Zillow Real Estate Research reports.
U.S. rents grew at their fastest pace in two years last month, surpassing growth in home values. Additionally, mortgages are getting easier to obtain as minimum credit scores fall.
Despite ripe market conditions for buying, sales numbers have been underwhelming. Zillow Real Estate Research says low levels of inventory is a key player in the weakness in both new and existing home sales in April.
