Perennial Wood porch flooring will be among the many new building products on display at the Southern Building Materials Association 2013 Building Products Buying Show, Feb. 6-7, in High Point, N.C.
The new line of long-lasting, real wood, tongue-and-groove porch flooring will be featured in the Snavely Forest Products booth #100-103. Snavely distributes Perennial Wood porch flooring to trade professionals and homeowners in the South Atlantic states through select professional lumberyards and building materials dealers.
Any professional building products dealer, architect/designer, builder, remodeler, or building construction trade professional can attend the 2013 Building Products Buying Show for free by registering online. The show will be held at the High Point Plaza Hotel & Conference Center. In addition to the exhibit hall, the show will include several educational sessions to help dealers and contractors run their businesses effectively.
“We’re excited to roll out Perennial Wood porch flooring to dealers and contractors at the SBMA show,” said Brant Mitchell, market development manager for Perennial Wood porch flooring. “We believe Perennial Wood porch flooring is ideal for the South Atlantic market because it is long-lasting, real wood that can help contractors maintain the authenticity of the region’s historic homes.”
Durability
Perennial Wood brings real wood, with fewer drawbacks, to outdoor porches. Modified through TruLast Technology, Perennial Wood is three times more dimensionally stable than unmodified wood and resists changes from moisture for decades. The modification process makes it less susceptible to shrinking and swelling, as well as cupping and warping.
Sustainability
The ability of Perennial Wood to endure is just one of its sustainable qualities. Because it lasts longer than most unmodified wood, it needs to be replaced less often, resulting in less material disposal over the long term. TruLast Technology leaves no toxic substances in the wood, delivering peace of mind about the performance of the product. Harvested from U.S. Southern pine, Perennial Wood is processed in the United States, eliminating the need for shipping wood from offshore sources, lessening the environmental impact.
