As rent across the country continues to increase, Realtor.com found the most expensive U.S. neighborhoods for renters.

The real estate site reports that rent in the U.S. has increased 13 percent over the last five years, to a median of $1,100 per month for a two-bedroom unit in March. The most expensive neighborhoods in the country have seen rent increase into the tens of thousands.

Topping the list of most expensive rental neighborhoods is The Hamptons in New York, where the median two-bedroom unit costs a whopping $30,000 in March. That area is followed by Aspen, Colo., at $12,000, Century City in Los Angeles, at $10,750, and Fisher Island in Miami, at $9,250.

We excluded ZIP codes with fewer than 12 listings and limited the ranking to no more than two neighborhoods per state (sorry, California and New York) and no more than one neighborhood per county.
