The 6 Most Innovative Kitchen and Bath Products from Construction Week 2018
The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show and the International Builders' Show are coming off a successful 2018 campaign that saw 85,000 attendees and lots of innovative products.
If you weren’t there, you'll need to know that technology played a huge role in the kitchen and bath product categories, followed by clever designs in faucets, and advancements in toilet technology.
Here are six products that caught our eye:
1. Kallista
Receiving Best of Show at KBIS, the Grid collection by Kallista includes a 3D-printed bath sink faucet, a wall-hung console, lighting and accessories.
2. Elkay
Elkay’s new stainless steel farmhouse sink offers an interchangeable apron front that gives owners the flexibility to change the color and material of the front. Various colors are available.
3. Miele
High-end appliance maker Miele introduced new entry level cooking appliances that gives more designers and consumers access to the brand. The collection includes ovens, cooktops, and ranges.
3. Kohler
Expanding on its Artist Edition sinks, Kohler’s new stone sinks include this Kensho Trouogh unit that was inspired by nature and minimalist designs of the East. It features a pattern etched into the stone’s surface. Both come in charcoal Grey Foussana as well as snowy white Biancone limestone.
American Standard’s Spectra+ collection of showerheads incudes this eTouch version that includes a remote control to mount on any shower surface as well as a feature that allows bathers one-touch operation for changing spray patterns.
5. Liebherr
Liebherr Appliances’s new Monolith collection of refrigerators measures 84 inches from top to bottom and features superior energy efficiency and new food-saving advancements, the company says. Countertop-depth means it integrates into the kitchen and a Smart Device Box lets customers connect to their network and control certain settings from their smartphones, tablets or Alexa-enabled devices.
