A total of 10 major cities reported a drop in home prices during the month of October, according to data released by the S&P/Case-Shiller.
Chicago and Cleveland reported the largest monthly drops in home prices during October. Home prices fell by 1 percent in Chicago and 0.7 percent in Cleveland. Home prices dropped by 0.8 percent in Tampa and 0.5 percent in Boston, Denver, and New York.
