The third quarter of 2014 saw custom home building continue on the right path with a total of 47,000 starts. It was the second straight quarter of strong production for the sector, which has built up to 154,000 starts over the last four quarters.
Total market share for custom homes is still down from the 31.5 percent high of second-quarter 2009, but has grown to 23.8 percent.
