Real estate returned to the top position over other investment categories in a recent poll conducted by The Gallup organization.
The annual report, titled Economy and Personal Finances Poll, revealed that 30 percent of Americans say real estate is the best long-term investment, beating out gold, which was the most popular form among Americans in 2011. The website Keeping Current Matters say that this is due to the improving U.S. housing market.
