Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies latest housing study revealed that Generation X has even lower homeownership rates than the rest of the country.
CNN reported that this generation doesn’t have much interest in owning a home and prefers to stay in the rental market longer. Many in this cohort were greatly affected by the housing crisis and weren’t able to trade-up to bigger homes but were forced out following delinquency or negative equity.
