Generation Z Optimistic About Homeownership

According to a new Zillow report, 57 percent of current Generation Z renters are confident that they will move into their own home in the future.

This comes after an earlier study from the National Association of Realtors found that 97 percent of the total Generation Z believe they will own a home, and 82 percent feel that homeownership is the most important factor in achieving the American Dream.

The current housing market will set up Generation Z for the most competitive buying experience yet, but their technology know-how will help them with the challenge. According to MarketWatch, one-third of Generation Z renters spend less than one month finding a place to live, compared to roughly one-quarter of all renters, thanks in part to their internet savvy.
