Google is expanding a service that makes it easier for homeowners to weigh the costs and benefits of installing solar panels at home, NBC News reports.
Project Sunroof takes into account overhead images from Google Earth and calculations on tree shade, weather patterns, and industry pricing.
The service is available in 16 metro areas and six states.
