With so much money going towards rent, people are finding it hard to save money for a house.
Zillow reports that rising rent rates are burdening renters. Among the people with the highest rent burdens, 60 percent are not able to save any money at all.
The findings come from the Federal Reserve Board’s 2013 and 2014 Surveys of Household Economics and Decision-making, and the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2013 and 2014 American Community Surveys.
