Around 25 million people work from home at least one day a week, and nearly three million people who work-from-home are self-employed. As more employees stay away from the office, work space efficiency becomes a priority.
Entrepreneur noted four trends in home office design. Workers are cleaning up the clutter from their lives by ditching paper documents and instead using their scanners more. They are integrating their workspaces into their living spaces.
Furniture manufacturers are designing functional work spaces that look nice enough for the living room. Even “Shedquarters,” freestanding shed offices located in the backyard, have emerged.
