Washington, Colorado, and Minnesota were recently found to be the best for jobs in the U.S. this year, based on job market and economic environment data.

The ranking of all 50 states used eight scoring metrics, including job opportunities, commute times, job satisfaction, time spent working, lowest unemployment rate, and highest median annual income. Washington state was best overall, and had the best economic environment. Colorado, ranked second, had the best job market in WalletHub's list. Kentucky, Mississippi, and West Virginia took the lowest three spots, respectively. Kentucky was found to have the worst economic environment, while Alaska, ranked 44th, had the worst job market in the ranking.
