The top 50 master plans sold nearly 23,300 homes in 2015, according to John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
The figure is a 14 percent increase over 2014, and it accounts for 4.7 percent of all new home sales nationally.
The top seller was The Villages, a community in Florida developed by Villages of Lake Sumter. It had 2,294 net sales in 2015, which was actually a decrease from 2014’s number (2,601).
