Roughly 60 percent of borrowers who used a mortgage to buy a home in Des Moines, Iowa, were between the age of 25 and 34, Origination News reports.
Compare this to the national average of 37 percent for borrowers this age, and it’s easy to see why Des Moines is called the most millennial-friendly city in the U.S.
Other cities that made the list are Provo, Utah; Baton Rouge, La.; Pittsburgh, and Lafayette, La. According to Bloomberg Business, “most of those cities don’t enjoy reputations for being particularly hip. What they are, generally, is cheap.”
