Solar prices have sharply declined for several years now, as PV module pricing dropped significantly. A new report projects that solar prices will continue to fall as price reductions spread to inverters, trackers, and labor costs. “U.S. PV System Pricing H2 2016: System Pricing, Breakdowns and Forecasts” published by GTM Research investigates solar system pricing across market segments and the impacts that pricing drops will have. Over the past six months, price drops have been more dramatic than any period since 2011 or 2012, according to the report’s author.
