New homes equipped with lighting control have leaped up to 9 percent, a 50 percent increase from last year, CE Pro reports.
Compared to all the technologies surveyed, lighting control experienced the biggest growth year-over-year. In second place is stand-alone video surveillance with a 28 percent increase. This statistic comes from the 13th Annual State of Builder Technology Market Study from the Consumer Electronics Association.
Technologies that most builders are reported to have included in new homes are structured wiring (84 percent), home theaters (80 percent), and monitored security (80 percent).
