Garages are a bit of a conundrum. They need to be big, with at least three stalls, but they can’t be the focal point. Designers have gotten creative, tucking away garages in the rear of the house.
Inforum listed some of the more prevalent trends in home design. Dark espresso cabinets are in (though white cabinets are more timeless), and quartz, wood, and granite countertops are popular options.
In terms of layout, universal design is becoming more common, and rear foyers and butler’s pantries keep homes organized.
