A 1,500-square-foot home can range from affordable to expensive, depending on where in the U.S. it’s located, Business Insider reports.

Among the 25 largest U.S. metros, the most expensive prices for a median 1,500-square-foot home were in San Francisco, where homes clocked in at a whopping $1,292,566. Other expensive markets included San Jose, Calif., ($855,973), Seattle ($689,917), and New York ($625,931).

The least expensive of the top 25 cities was Detroit, where the median 1,500-square-foot home cost only ($47,241). Other affordable options were Memphis ($83,135), El Paso, Texas ($116,098), and Indianapolis ( $118,454).
