Whirlpool Debuts All-in-One Washer/Dryer Machine

Whirlpool has developed a new smart all-in-one washer/dryer combo that eliminates the need to transfer clothes between machines.

“We constantly listen for what people want and need to make their lives less complex,” says Ryan Morand, Whirlpool senior brand manager. “We found they often forget to transfer clothes from the washer to the dryer, creating more time spent doing laundry than needed. With our new combo laundry machine, there is no transfer necessary – clothes get washed, then dried all in the same appliance.”

An ideal solution for small homes, apartments, and condos that might not have space for a washer and dryer, the machine immediately begins drying clothes after the wash cycle has ended, cutting down on laundry steps.

The unit also comes with a number of smart features including Load & Go Bulk Dispensing, which automatically uses the appropriate amount of detergent for each load. Users can receive smartphone alerts when loads are done and download customized cycles from a Whirlpool app. Finally, the machine automatically orders laundry supplies from Amazon when stocks get low.
