Meyers Research found 10 examples of next generation home features. For instance, the group saw that wine rooms, which were popular a decade ago before being phased out during the recession, are back. The rooms feature prominently in many living rooms and dining areas in upscale projects.
Other trends include pool cabanas, dog rooms, large kitchen islands, and super laundry rooms (spaces with two washers, two dryers, and even a refrigerator).
