Premium appliance maker Bosch has announced the addition of the 100 Series dishwasher line that includes such features as quiet operation and a $499 starting price.

“With the Bosch 100 Series, we are proud to offer many of the premium features consumers have come to expect from Bosch in a dishwasher series that is attainable for even more consumers,” says Anja Prescher, director of brand marketing for Bosch home appliances.

The 100 Series, Bosch says, offers features that can be found on pricier dishwashers. This list of features include PrecisionWash, a five-point cleaning system comprised of intelligent sensors that continually scan the progress of the cycle. It also includes a precision spray arms engineered to target every item in the load, filters that aid the cleaning process, and more. The brand says users can simply start the dishwasher and walk away.

Every dishwasher also is equipped with upper rack adjustability to help customize the setup of each dishwasher load. The three-level RackMatic adjustable rack is designed to allow tall items to fit in the middle rack while also creating room for pots and pans below. The RackMatic adjustable rack includes three adjustable heights for up to nine rack positions.

Other features include a Utility Rack that offers a place in the dishwasher for irregularly shaped cooking tools and a third rack that creates 30 percent more loading area for silverware, measuring cups, and other items that don’t easily fit elsewhere within the dishwasher.

The units also includes fingerprint-resistant stainless steel on the exterior. Finally, the manufacturer says the new line will have one of the most well-known features of the Bosch brand: sound reduction technology. Each unit operates with as low as 48 decibels.

The new series comes in black, white, and stainless steel and with a choice from three handle options, including a bar and recessed handle, to fit a variety of kitchen styles.
