Prices rose slightly over the past year, with nearly 4% of additional price growth expected through 2025

Home prices saw mild growth during the past year.
Home prices in the U.S. have remained mostly steady on a monthly basis, with annual growth slightly outpacing inflation. According to property data tracker CoreLogic, home prices grew by 3.3% from January 2024 to January 2025, with the median sales price for single-family homes in the U.S. at $375,000. Additionally, another 3.6% of growth is expected through January 2026. Although it's anticipated that prices will continue growing nationwide, not every region is expected to see the same level of growth.
The Northeast continues to buck overall national trends, remaining unbothered by slower job growth, elevated interest rates, and ongoing affordability concerns.
Meanwhile, in the Mountain West, prices are the furthest from their record highs. In Hawaii, prices declined by 4.4%.Read more
