Cash and Prizes: One Developer's Model for Enticing Buyers

Mid-Atlantic developer Miller & Smith has launched "The One Visit Experience", a new model for showcasing its communities and projects that offers prizes to visitors.

Consumers visiting the Miller & Smith properties are able to take model home tours, test drive Mini Cooper vehicles around the neighborhood, and taste food from local dining establishments. The Washington Post reports that each visitor gets a take-home bag of "special offers and samples from local businesses curated by Miller & Smith staff at each community."

Visitors who take pictures in the photo booth at an open house and share their thoughts about what’s most important to them about their house-hunting experience will be entered to win a two-year Mini Cooper lease. Participants who buy a home during the regional promotion will be entered to win a home design from Kerra Michele, a D.C. interior designer known for her lifestyle blog “Apartment Envy.”
