Ivory Innovations, a nonprofit organization that supports affordable housing initiatives, recently announced this year’s Hack-A-House winners. Hack-A-House is a 24-hour virtual event designed to inspire students to create solutions for the housing affordability crisis. During the event, participants collaborate with peers, experts, and judges to tackle housing challenges.

Winners are named for three categories, which include: Innovation Incentives, Single Family Densification, and Housing Safety Net. This year’s winners for the respective categories were Holz Haus Hackers from UC Berkeley, Property Brothers from the University of Utah, and HomeTown Hackers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. All three winning teams will have the chance to travel to Cambridge, Mass., to present their ideas at the Ivory Prize Summit at Harvard University on October 25. There, the audience will vote to select the grand prize winner.
