San Jose, Calif.-based nonprofit organization The Rosendin Foundation recently announced the return of its TRF Camp Build, a free summer camp designed to introduce middle school students to construction careers. The free weeklong day camp will be located in Sterling, Va. this year and will be open for students in sixth to eighth grade during the week of July 14.  While there, students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities led by skilled trades professionals. Activities at the camp include personal safety training, concrete pouring, pipe bending, rebar shoring, and more. The deadline for registration is March 31.

Throughout the program, students will actively learn by working on interactive projects, such as wiring lamps, pouring concrete for stepping stones, and building a group project like a doghouse. Group projects are donated to a local community nonprofit, allowing participants to apply their newfound skills while making a positive impact. Read more
