Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute and Make It Right have announced a Product Innovation Challenge to encourage manufacturers to design goods for the affordable housing market that are safe for human and environmental health and that can be reused. The contest asks innovators to rethink common materials and devise new products that can exceed standards on the basis of price, performance, availability, and human and environmental health. Three winners will share $250,000 in prize money for the most innovative solutions.
