Tool manufacturer Festool USA is set to introduce a new ultra-portable and compact dust extractor system that integrates a certified HEPA unit. The CT SYS is small enough to be carried by an integrated handle or shoulder strap.
“The CT SYS takes all of the performance of our larger CT dust extractors and packs it into our Systainer 2, making it the perfect solution for professionals who need an ultra-portable vacuum,” says Steve Rangoussis, chief sales and marketing officer for Festool USA. “Because it’s a full unit HEPA-certified dust extractor, the CT SYS is the perfect choice for remodelers, painters, and others needing full functionality in a seriously compact design.”
Measuring 15-9/16 inches deep and 10-5/8 inches tall, and weighing 15.2 pounds, the unit features automatic function, anti-static design, high-performance suction, and self-contained hose and cord storage. It operates at 67 decibels.
The unit “is ideal for tackling smaller 'punch-list' tasks," the company says, and provides tool-triggered activation for use with power tools.
