Fisher & Paykel, the company that introduced the dishwasher in a drawer to the world, has now unveiled its first integrated built-in unit to the North American market.
Series 7 is a traditional dropdown door dishwasher that upholds the brand’s commitment to seamless integration and optimization, the company says.
“We are pleased to introduce the Series 7 24-inch Dishwasher as we saw the need for this within our product portfolio,” says Shane Rehm, vice president of product.

The dishwasher is sized to suit consumer’s needs, Fisher & Paykel says. It is available in tall (American size) or short (Euro/ADA Compliant) counter heights, ensuring minimal gaps. The unit is panel-ready and can be faced with stainless steel or customized paneling to match kitchen cabinetry for a perfectly integrated look. Designed to fit 14 place settings, the flexible, adjustable storage lets users stack even large items with ease. Additionally, the dishwasher offers a full-width cutlery tray, height-adjustable middle rack, cup holders, and wine glass supports.
“Along with the flexible interior, the Series 7 Dishwasher ensures a quality wash,” Fisher & Paykel says. “The three-stage filtration system delivers a superior clean, while the rinse aid indicator reminds you to top up for squeaky clean dishes.”
The Series 7 has seven wash programs from delicate to heavy and extra wash options that include Quick, Sanitize, Extra Dry and Auto. “A Quick wash modifier results in a faster clean, while maintaining wash performance,” the company explains. “The Sanitize option provides extra protection killing 99.9% of bacteria in the final rinse. The Extra Dry setting is perfect for plastic dishes, while Auto automatically senses the optimal wash cycle for the dishes.”

Fisher & Paykel says the Series 7 operates at a very low decibel level of 46 dBA and combines clever technology and simple mechanics to offer reliability and superior wash performance. Efficient in its use of water and energy, the Series 7 uses only 3 gallons of water per cycle, the company says and uses 232 kilowatt hours per year.
“Running at a very low decibel rating, this dishwasher does its job without making a fuss,” the company says. “The combination of clever technology and simple mechanics means greater reliability and superior wash performance.”
The new traditional dishwasher is a departure for the New Zealand-based company that introduced the Dish Drawer to the U.S. market. When it was introduced in the late 1990s, the dishwasher in a drawer was a revolutionary, mind-blowing concept that was unlike anything the industry had seen. It also ushered in an age of more modular appliances in drawers such as the refrigerator or freezer drawer from such companies as GE, KitchenAid, and Sub-Zero.

“Our Integrated DishDrawer is a fantastic, ergonomic product, but some kitchen designers prefer a single door dishwasher,” Rehm says. “Like our other integrated appliances, it is designed to fit and offers unparalleled design freedom for a clean and cohesive kitchen aesthetic.”
The unit, the company says, upholds the brand’s commitment to seamless integration and optimization.
