If you are among the 60,000-plus home building professionals planning to make the trek to Las Vegas next month for the International Builders' Show, make sure to stop by Professional Builder's annual Show Village exhibit. Since 1998, the PB team has partnered with industry-leading builders and sponsors to design and build a series of demonstration homes at IBS. For the 2010 show, PB partnered with Palm Harbor Homes and Palm Harbor's subsidiary, Nationwide Custom Homes, on three state-of-the-art, modular homes that will be located in the main parking lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
For the first time, all three Show Village homes are being designed and built to achieve certification through NAHB's Model Green Home Building Guidelines. Sustainable features include high-performance windows, no-VOC paint and energy-efficient HVAC systems. Learn more about the demo homes in our Show Village Preview, starting on page 9.
Inside the convention hall, hundreds of exhibitors will be showing off thousands of products for the home building market.
