According to the Associated Press, Americans signed contracts to purchase a home during the month of April at the fastest pace in the last nine years.
The seasonally adjusted pending home sales index reached 112.4 in April, a 3.4 percent gain. Steady job growth has shown to be strengthening the real estate market as the overall unemployment level remained low with weekly benefits applications hitting a seasonally adjusted 282,000.
