FlowGuard Gold CPVC plumbing systems use one-step, solvent joining techniques that may be pressure-tested within 10 minutes of bonding. No welding is necessary. The product is constructed of durable post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), which is now approved for use in all 50 states. Not only does the product result in material savings, but it is easier and faster to install than traditional materials, the company says. The material’s insulating properties also keep hot water hotter and cold water colder than metallic systems. The product also reduces condensation and the risk of drip damage.
