Multiple sources have reported a dramatic increase in the number of homebuyers purchasing multigenerational houses in the last several years. According to the 2013 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers survey from the National Association of Realtors, 14 percent of recent buyers had purchased a multigenerational home.
