In the northern Italian city of Turin, a multifamily development makes its residents feel as if they were living among the trees.
The project is called “25 Verde,” and features 63 units in five stories. The Huffington Post reports that the project’s architect, Luciano Pia, integrated about 150 trees into 25 Verde’s eco-conscious design.
The foliage absorbs harmful toxins from cars on the street and creates a “microclimate” environment during the seasons, making apartments cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter.
