There is an increasing number of residents in the country that are either aspiring to live in, building, or already living in a tiny house. But, as the Charlotte Observer reports, many are wary of what zoning codes might think of these homes.
In most cases, city codes don’t cover tiny homes because they don’t know how to define them. Will a tiny home be considered a trailer, making it possible for a Charlotte couple building a 130-square-foot tiny home on their lot in suburban Charlotte to be kicked off of their own property?
