Long-time community members of the burgeoning East Austin neighborhood of Texas’ capital are looking to a community land trust to stop residents from being priced out.
“The trust, the Guadalupe Neighborhood Development Corporation, acquires parcels of land and pledges to use them for the benefit of the neighborhood,” CityLab reports, “whether that be for food production or affordable housing.”
