The GDP percentage growth of Midland, Texas, was the largest in the country, according to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
HowMuch.net released a 3-D visualization map of the GDP growth by metropolitan area, using spikes emerging from cities to signify GDP growth. The taller the spike, the higher the GDP.
The second city with a high GDP percentage spike was Midland’s neighbor San Angelo. Overall, Texas metropolitan areas experienced growth.
Declines—marked red on the map—appear sporadically in the Southeast and Midwest.
