The top 21 masterplans in the U.S. sold more than 14,000 new homes in 2015, according to John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
The Villages in Central Florida did the best, seeing a 2,294 net sales increase last year. The figure was actually down 12 percent from 2014, when the net figure was 2,601. The Irvine Ranch (1,674) of Orange County, Calif., and Nocatee (1,105) of Jacksonville, Fla., finished second and third.
Phoenix’s Eastmark had the highest increase, experiencing a 173 percent rise in sales (from 203 net sales in 2014 to 554 last year).
