A number of Brooklyn homeowners are renovating their homes with a metal exterior, according to the New York Times.
Metal cladding, commonly made from aluminum, is durable, doesn’t cost much, and looks modern and sleek.
“The metal has a luminous, sculptural quality,” Sarah Jefferys, an architect who lives in a house wrapped in stainless-steel tiles, said in the piece. “The house can change color depending on the time of day or year, along with the weather.”
