To generate the list, WalletHub compared the 162 cities and analyzed them across 21 key indicators of ideal family conditions. While the majority of the top cities on the list can be found in the suburbs of Chicago, there are high-ranking places sprinkled across the state.
Coming in at number one on the list is Morton, Ill., with a total score of 72.67.
