The mineral wool in the JM CladStone Water & Fire Block Insulation from Johns Manville allows for water drainage in an exterior wall cavity system while still providing thermal efficiency, fire resistance, and acoustical performance. Made from basalt and designed for cavity wall and rainscreen applications, the insulation is noncombustible, non-deteriorating, and will not mildew or support corrosion. JM CladStone can be installed with exterior cladding systems including strapping, brick ties, girts, and purlins, and can be mechanically fastened with impaling pins, screws and washers, insulation fasteners, or plastic cap nails.
