British surfacing company KAZA Concrete has partnered with brand and product design firm Next Ship to create a new triangular modular concrete tile.

Designed by Levi Fignar, Tre is a series of four distinct faceted triangular tiles that can be displayed independently or as modular elements in a larger geometric pattern concept. In addition, the textured tiles are made in two levels of thickness, allowing for tiered creations that work with light, shadow, and depth, the company says.

The design was originally conceived as an architectural surface installation for the London Design Festival. Since then, Fignar has developed and expanded the Tre concept for the design and architecture world.

“Tre enables one to envision and create endless pattern combinations from the simplest minimalist applications to the most elaborate kaleidoscopic masterpieces,” the company says.

Each of the four tiles is geometrically congruent with one another so that even in randomized combinations a consistent tile pattern will emerge.

The tiles come in 24 colors and multiple finishes, including glossy and metallic.

The company recently entered the U.S. market with line of luxury concrete wall tiles. Read the story here.
