This single-family home in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood features copper cladding that was installed as a rainscreen, which allows the wall assembly to dry out and avoid premature mold.

The Forester 9 by Icelandic designer Kjartan Oskarsson is a light fixture that can be manipulated and adjusted to provide light wherever it’s needed.

Inspired by a group of trees or a forest, the light is made from copper pipes that are attached to a steel base with a white oak plate. The pipes are linked to the base by a ball bearing mounted in the base. “This is done to further enhance the usability of the lamp by allowing the user to simply move the copper pipes in all directions to suit the changing needs for illumination.

The nine pipes measure a ½ inch in diameter and come in a wide variety of lengths. You may order the fixture in different sizes.
