These sheathing insulation panels are dual-layered and designed to minimize temperature fluctuations within structures, helping to make them more energy-saving and cost-efficient over time.

According to LP's website: 

LP NovaCore Thermal Insulated Sheathing combines OSB sheathing with XPS foam to provide continuous insulation without the long-term R-value deterioration associated with other foam insulation products.

The R-value of LP NovaCore XPS foam increases as temperatures drop to help maintain stable interior temperatures.
