S-5!, a metal roof attachment manufacturer, has partnered with National Women in Roofing (NWIR) to launch a new scholarship program aimed at supporting women who are pursuing careers in the skilled trades. The NWIR & S-5! Scholarship provides a $2,500 award for trade school education, along with a one-year NWIR membership and personalized mentorship from an experienced member. To be considered, applicants must be U.S. citizens, be accepted to a trade school, and must  submit an online application with two recommendations by Dec. 1, 2024.

"We are pleased to partner with S-5! on this exciting initiative dedicated to advancing the career development of young women and highlighting the diverse opportunities available in the skilled trades,” said Katie Bodiford, NWIR Executive Director. “Industry recruitment is a key pillar for our association’s mission, and together with S-5!, we are committed to promoting diversity by empowering and guiding these young women as they embark on their journeys toward a successful future.”
