New-home sales in Orange County accounted for 25 percent of the past year’s new-home sales in Southern California – its highest share since 1997, the Orange County Register reports. The Register’s columnist Jonathan Lansner used Southern California housing stats from CoreLogic DataQuick, and found that the bounty of projects developers betted on in Orange County are paying handsome returns, with new-home sales being propelled to heights not seen in a decade or more.
