5 Design Trends That Appeal to Gen-Z and Millennial Homeowners

As home builders seek new ways to reach the next generation of homebuyers, some are starting their brand-building brand affinity early on by catering to new architectural and design trends that appeal to this demographic. Generation Z and Millennials are drawn to home décor styles driven by self-expression and social influence, according to Men's Journal, which drew on research by home builder Taylor Morrison to identify five design trends with next-gen appeal. 

One way the developers cater to new architectural and design trends is by activating new floor plan elements such as offset alignment of the front and back doors, optimized staircase placement, and front doors that face away from the street. In other ways, they're preparing indoor spaces with architectural elements like plaster details, popular tiles, and a depth of natural materials.
