We chatted with an aging in place and smart technology expert on where the two trends meet in order to determine what smart technology is best for those wanting to age in place.
Ryan Herd, founder of Caregiver Smart Solutions, discusses protective and reactive technology, what older adults want from smart tech and their homes, in addition to suggesting a few different smart technologies for older adults.
“From a builder's standpoint, this is very easy to do and as far as builders go, it's definitely an opportunity moving forward because there's just not enough housing for our aging loved ones,” says Herd. “It's that simple.”
